From May 1 till now, Indian Railways transported 10 lakh workers from 800 trains to home state
Workers' special trains were run across the country by the Indian Railways to transport the trapped laborers to their home state due to the Corona lockdown. According to the railway, 800 labor trains have been run since May 1 and 10 lakh migrant laborers have been transported to their home state during this period. Significantly, the lockdown was implemented nationwide from May 25 due to Corona infection. Since then, trains, buses, and air services were shut down due to which these laborers had to face the most problem.

Railways have canceled all the tickets already booked for the journey till June 30. The Railway Ministry announced this on Thursday that a full refund will be given on all tickets i.e. cancellation charge will not be collected from passengers.
