India's Constitution creator, thinker, social reformer Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow of Madhya Pradesh. His father's name was Ramji Maloji Sakpal and mother's name was Bhimabai. He was the 14th and last child of his parents. 1. Baba Saheb Ambedkar's family belonged to the Mahar caste (Dalit), which was considered untouchable. His ancestors worked for a long time in the army of the British East India Company. His father was a subedar in the Mahu Cantonment of British Army.
 
2. Ambedkar, who has seen economic and social discrimination since his childhood, started studying in unequal circumstances. They had to face a lot of discrimination in school. 3. Ambedkar's real name was Ambawadekar. This same name was also recorded by his father in the school. But one of his teachers changed his name to his surname 'Ambedkar'. In this way, the name of Ambedkar was registered in the school record.

4. Because of the prevailing child marriage, Ambedkar was married to Ramabai, a 9 year old girl, in 1906. At that time Ambedkar's age was only 15 years.

5. He passed matriculation in 1907, and in 1908 he joined Elphinstone College. He was the first dalit student to enter this college. In 1912, he graduated from Economics and Political Science from Bombay University.

In 1913, he went to America to do MA. Then his age was only 22 years. Studying in the US was possible due to meeting monthly scholarship from Gaekwad ruler Sahayaji Rao III of Baroda. After this, in 1921, he took his MA degree from the London School of Economics.

In 1930, he started the Kalaram temple movement.
