In Sarita Vihar, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan blocked the way with his supporters. His performance led to a jam from Jamia to Kalindi Kunj. Up to a dozen people were also injured in the uproar, stone pelting and arson of the protesters. A large number of police forces were deployed on the spot. Former MLA Asif Mohammad Khan staged a sit-in with his supporters. The protesters completely closed the Sarita Vihar Road from Kalindi Kunj. Apart from this, the students of Jamia protested by blocking the road from Surya Hotel in Sarai Julaina to Jamia. Around a dozen people were injured in protesters, stone pelting and arson. The Jamia Milia group of students has issued a statement to separate itself from the violence during the protest against the Citizenship Act. The group of students has said that we have repeatedly said that our protest is peaceful and non-violent.
