Republic Day 2019 in India will be celebrated on January 26, Saturday. In 2019, India will celebrate its 70th Republic Day. India's first Republic Day was celebrated in the 1950's.

In India, Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January every year with great pride to honor the Constitution of India, as it was applied on the same day in 1950. It had changed the Government of India Act, 1935 into Government Document.

The fifth and current President of South Africa "Mattamela Cyril Ramphosa" will be the chief guest of India's 70th Republic Day 2019

Siril Ramphosso was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the G20 summit to be held in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires. He was selected (from South Africa) for this occasion, because India is celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who had very close relations with the people of South Africa. PM Modi said that the visit of South African President to India would help in enhancing the relations between the two countries.
What is special on Republic Day of 2019

What special activities we have this year on Indian Republic Day 2019, have given some points on this:

This year 2019 festival will be special because it will be held on the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation. About 17 tableaux from the States / Union Territories and 6 from various ministries will be displayed in the 'Gandhi theme' parade.

In this year's Rajpath parade, a tableau will also show 'Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth', a historic educational institution located in Varanasi. The glory of the Varanasi ghats, Buddhist monks, rituals and ancient temples will also be visible in the tableau.
   
Full dress rehearsal was held on January 23, on the Rajpath on Wednesday. The rehearsal parade from Vijay Chowk started at 09:50 in the morning and continued till the Red Fort. Traffic will not be allowed until the parade is over at Rajpath from 06.00 am on January 22.
  
Due to India Gate Rehearsal, it will remain close to 23 January 09:00 AM. Security has been enhanced in the state for the Republic Day celebrations and 30 fence identification cameras and 250 CCTVs have been installed at different places to be vigilant on this event.
   
Honorable representatives of Pravasi Bhartiya Divas 2019 (from 21 to 23 January 2019, organized in Varanasi) will also come to Rajpath to become the grand witness of the 70th Indian Republic Day celebrations.
   
Prime Minister will inaugurate War National War Memorial 'near India Gate on the eve of Republic Day, who honored the soldiers sacrificing their lives for the country. The IAF will make a special fly-past with three helicopters and SU 30 Jets on this occasion.
  
This year, the Indian Air Force will fly a plane, which will run on mixed-biodegradation on the fly-past of Republic Day 2019 and it will have 10 percent biofuels. On the Rajpath, the aircraft will fly with shape V 'shape formation, which will be like' Victory 'sign.
   
The Republic Day Parade will also be included in the M777 Howitzer and K9 Vajra in 2019, which is a self-propelled gun which is the latest guns involved in the Indian Army. T-90 tank, SU-30, MiG-29, Jaguar aircraft will also be the highlight of the parade.

 It will be for the first time in history that the 4-odd soldiers of the F Az Azad Hind Fauj, above 90 years of age, will participate in the parade on Rajpath.
   
This will be the first time that a female officer will lead the army service corps in the 2019 Republic Day parade. This year the Daredevils motorcycle team will also include a women officer.
   
This will be the first time in history that all the women of Assam Rifles, one of the oldest paramilitary forces in India, will participate in the Republic Day Parade this year. The CISF will display its tableau after 11 years in the parade.
   
This will be the first time that the winner of the National Bravery Awards will not be able to join the parade on Rajpath as the awardees are accused of financial integrity on NGOs. Although the winners of the Prime Minister's National Child Award will get the chance to walk in the Rajpath Parade.
   
The Republic Day 2019 parade tickets are available from 07 January to 25 January and from 27 January to 28 January for the Beating Retreat Festival at various locations and sales counters in Delhi.
