INDvWI: Jasprit Bumrah will join Team India before 2nd ODI but will not play matches but will take part in practice session

Bumrah will also take part in the net session along with Team India. After this net session, Bumrah's fitness will also be assessed and some things will be clear about his comeback.

Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrab is undergoing rehabilitation after recovering from a back injury. A three-match ODI series is scheduled to be played between India and West Indies from Sunday and Bumrah will also take part in the net session with Team India before the second ODI of this series. After this net session, Bumrah's fitness will also be assessed and some things will be clear about his comeback.

The three-match ODI series between India and West Indies will begin on December 15, with the second match to be played in Visakhapatnam on December 18. India won the three-match T20 series 2–1 from the West Indies. Bumrah has been out of the team since the start of India's home series against South Africa. The team management has expressed hope that they will be fit until the New Zealand tour next year. According to the team management, Bumrah will take part in the net session with the Indian team, which is a fixed rule.

Rehab compulsory

It is mandatory for any injured player to participate in rehabilitation before returning to the national team. Apart from Bumrah, Hardik Pandya is also undergoing rehabilitation due to a back injury. However, it is understood that it is not possible for Bumrah to return to the national team at the moment and he will not be able to play in the series against Sri Lanka as well. 26-year-old fast bowler Bumrah last played for Team India in a Test match against West Indies in Kingston in August-September. His last ODI was in Manchester against New Zealand in July and the last T20 against Bengaluru in Australia in February.

Team India is missing due to Bumrah

Bumrah has taken 62 wickets in 12 Tests, 103 wickets in 58 ODIs and 51 wickets in 42 T20s. Bumrah's presence in the team is considered to be very important for Indian hopes in the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia next year. In the domestic T20 series against Bangladesh and West Indies, India lost one match and in the current situation, the lack of Bumrah in the Indian fast attack is clearly visible.
