India ready if war is compelled: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat warns Pakistan
NEW DELHI: In a brave attack on Pakistan, army chief General Bipin Rawat said on Tuesday that "our Western neighbors" were continuously supporting terrorists and warned that India would achieve "decisive success" if war took place.
Addressing the 71st Army Day Parade here, General Rawat said, "If our country is pushed into a war situation then the decisive success will be ours."
Giving warning that the security challenges in the future will be more complex, the Army Chief said, "We need to increase our professional skills to deal with this threat."
General Rawat said that a new policy was adopted on the border with China and the forces of both countries had asked for peace.
Referring to the action taken by Pakistani soldiers in the wake of the firing, he said, "We are responding to the enemies on the Line of Control (LoC), thereby causing huge losses of lives and logistics."
Accusing Pakistan of helping terrorists, General Rawat said, "I warn the enemy that we will not hesitate to take heavy action in response to what we are doing against our country.
The Army Chief said, "Not only our neighboring country is supporting terrorism but it is also providing the weapon and training the terrorists, that country (Pakistan) is included in the category of countries sponsoring terrorism. has been done."
He said that the anti-infiltration action of the army is going on and will continue.
On terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, General Rawat said that his people caused huge damage to the terrorists with the help of other security agencies.
Saying that the army was firm to crush terrorism, General Rawat said that terrorists were in "disappointing" situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
"The result is that terrorists are now threatening to take the arms of teenagers in Jammu and Kashmir, and we do not want the terrorists to constantly threaten the citizens."
He said that the situation in the North Eastern States was "under control" and intelligence operations centered by the Army and Assam Rifles were in progress.

General Rawat also talked about "revolution in military affairs" to modernize the war strategy.

General Rawat said that the Army has added projects like K-9 Vajra gun, Pahar missile system, My protected vehicle and sky missile system.
