According to the news published in the Times of India, this system has been developed by AGS Transaction Technology. AGS now provides ATM services to banks. To withdraw cash from an ATM card machine, the account holder must have a mobile application subscription, which is already UPI-based. After this, the user will have to scan the QR code to make a UPI payment.
No more changes in infrastructure
This technique will work in the same way as the payment is made through the UPI. According to the news, AGS Transact said that the banks are considering starting this service. To start this service, banks will not need to spend more and change their infrastructure. To start this service, a software upgrade has to be done at the ATM.
This service is yet to be approved by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). AGS says that the company has already tested this technology. When this information was given to the banks, the bank was very excited about it. According to the report Second Generation UPI 2.0 will be easier than ever to remove the cassette from the machine.
